Canadian Emergency Student Benefit

$1,250 or $ 2,000* per month from May to Aug

 

Who is eligible*:

The person must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, AND High school students who graduated in 2020, have applied for enrollment in a post-secondary program that is scheduled to begin before February 1, 2021 and who plan to enroll in the program if their application is accepted; OR Current post-secondary students who were enrolled in a degree, diploma, or certificate program at any time, between December 1, 2019 and August 2020; OR Recent post-secondary graduates who graduated no earlier than December 2019; AND
Unable to work or unable to find work because of COVID-19 for the 4-week.

How to apply*:

Applications to apply for CESB would be open in May through the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
