ADMISSION PROCEDURE

CIMT College is registered as a Private Career College under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. Since 1998, we have been committed to provide occupation based skills professional training. All of our courses have been designed keeping the current job scenario in mind which combines theory and practical to provide high standard and professional training. We are proud to be Certified Microsoft IT Academy, Cisco Networking Academy and certified training partners with CompTIA and also have an authorized in-house testing centre through PearsonVUE and Prometric.

CIMT College Welcomes International Students to Canada!

CIMT College is proud to announce that it has been identified by the provincial government to be in the list of Designated Private Career College to host international students starting June 1, 2014. Our DLI NUMBER - O19304117342.

International students will follow following steps to study the program of their choice -

step 1

International student chooses from amongst the following diploma or post graduate diploma programs:

Programs

Non-Vocational (Short Course) programs are offered to valid visa/permit holder and to those who have an authorization to study/work in Canada.

Before registering into the program of your interest you must verify if you meet the English Language Proficiency requirement.

Check the program schedule by visiting the specific program page. It is advisable to apply for admission to the program at least five to six months before the commencement date to allow yourself sufficient time for visa processing.

Document checklist- Ensure you have following documents in the electronic format(pdf,doc or jpg file) when you apply online

  • Proof of your nationality (passport)
  • Highest level of education – (transcripts/diploma/certification)
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency

Note - If you are unable to upload the documents to the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM, you must send your documents to int.admissions@cimtcollege.com or mail them to Canadian Institute of Management and Technology, 7200 Goreway Drive, Mississauga, L4T 2T7 or fax to 905-671-3332.

You are required to apply online. Students must pay a non-refundable Application Fee to be considered by CIMT College.

Application Fee Amount:

  • $550 Canadian Funds for International Students

In order to ensure that serious student requests are addressed with priority, please submit your application fee prior to requesting additional information about courses, programs, or visas. Due to the high volume of requests, only genuine inquiries which accompany a fully completed online application, with application fee included, will be processed. Thank you.

Documents are assessed by the Academic Adviser. Upon positive assessment, you will receive a letter of acceptance within 48 hours.

You submit this letter of acceptance along with your visa application form at the nearest Canadian Embassy/High Commission or the Consulate to apply for study permit. Visit www.cic.gc.ca to look for branches in your country.

Note: You can request for a letter of acceptance with deferred date of commencement if the visa processing is delayed. Speak to the admission coordinator for more information.

Upon being granted the study permit/visa, you must email the visa copy to CIMT International Student Centre at int.admissions@cimtcollege.com.

Note: CIMT College is required to inform Immigration and citizenship Canada of your change in status if you withdraw, cease to attend classes, defer your admission or become part-time student.

You can also request for a settlement service for a fee which includes

  • Airport Pick-up
  • Arranging accommodation
  • Assisting in application for Social Insurance Number (SIN Card) – SIN Card enable you to work in Canada during the term of your study
  • Assisting in opening a bank account
  • Media services (introducing internet and cell phone providers)
  • Neighborhood support services (community, religion and social events)
  • All related services to help you settle into the Canadian student culture

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PAYMENT METHODS

A Note about Timelines for Receipt of Payment

Please take processing time for receipt of payment into account when you are choosing your method of payment. CIMT College will process a Letter of Acceptance within 2 business days only after (i) all documents are received (ii) your payment is confirmed by our bank in our country. Even when you provide a payment confirmation from your country, our bank still needs the following processing time to confirm on our side:

  • A wire transfer can take up to 10 business days for payment to be confirmed by our bank
  • Paypal takes up to 5 business days for payment to be confirmed
  • Visa or Mastercard is generally within hours; however, if it is an international credit card, for certain countries, there can be delays

TIP: If timing is urgent for you, we recommend paying by credit card, as this is the fastest turnaround time.

Option One: Pay by your Credit Card – Two Steps

We will use the credit card information only for the transaction authorized by you.

Option Two: Pay by Wire Transfer – Three Steps

Timeline: Electronic wire transfers may take up to 10 business days before they are received by CIMT College.
