CIMT College is looking for a seasoned human resources professional to join its team. Candidate must possess a passion for recruitment and retention, someone who is emotionally intelligent and helps foster a positive and productive work environment. 


Job Summary

Perform a variety of personnel related administrative tasks like posting job ads, recruitment, updating HR database, employee file maintenance, processing employee requests. Ensuring positive work environment for the employees while maintaining a low turnover ratio.

 

Job Title : Human Resources Administrator 

Position Type : Full time permanent (40 hours per week)

Location : 7200 Goreway Drive, Mississauga, ON L4T2T7

Salary : $18 per hour


Education

Post secondary education in human resources or relevant field is required


Experience /Skills

2+ years’ work experience in a Private Career College (PCC) as an HR Administrator or 3+ years experience in HR industry 

Knowledge of ESA, Labour laws and HR policies is a must 

Proven track record in administration and relationship building

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to multitask and process oriented

Great work ethic and superior emotional intelligence


Computer Skills

Computer literacy ( MS Office applications and HR software)

Microsoft Office: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access

Ability to maintain spreadsheets and input data for record maintenance

Relationships

Works with: Campus Staff 

Reports to : Director of Human Resources 

Supervises: N/A

Outside Contacts: Insurance providers, recruitment agencies

Working Conditions

Human Resources Administrators are provided with the necessary office equipment required to complete daily tasks

 

Job Duties

Duties and Responsibilities  reflective but not all inclusive


Support Human Resources department by screening, testing ad interviewing applicants. 
Prepare HR documents like employment contracts and new hire guides
Provide orientation to new employees by sharing onboarding package and explaining company policies, benefit programs etc. 
Update HR Databases with information on new hires, separations, vacation, sick leaves etc.
Maintain employee records- soft and hard copies while maintaining confidentiality of information.
Assist in payroll preparation by providing information on employee absence, bonuses, commission payments and leaves
Arrange travel accommodations and process expense forms
Process employees requests and provide relevant information
Prepare HR policies and procedures to create employee handbook. 
Revise company policies from time to time to align with ESA and current market trends
Liaise with external partners like Insurance providers, group benefits etc. 
Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics like turnover rates
Ensure sufficient staffing across the campuses and roles. 
 
Compliance and Regulatory
 
Adhere to all CIMT College Policies and Procedures
Comply with all regulatory standards as set out by the Ministry of Training for Colleges and Universities, and the PCC Act, 2005
