Yvette Webber and Catherine Obi-Hezekiah, the PSW graduate of Brampton Campus - Canadian Institute of Management and were hired as Caregiver by Home Care Company. Sylvia Little, HR and Client Manager from ComForcare Home Care interviewed the graduates and Students at Brampton Campus during the recent career fair organised by the placement cell of the college. Yvette Webber and Catherine Obi-Hezekiah were among few others who were screened on the day of the fair and were selected after another set of interview and orientation at the company’s office. Both Yvette and Catherine undertook diploma in Personal Support Worker from Brampton Campus - CIMT College and finished her program of study earlier this year. Personal support workers take up a co-op with the long-term care facilities and retirement homes during the course of their study as a mandatory requirement. These students are invited to attend the on-campus career fairs which are scheduled every other month at the Mississauga campus.
Graduates in all fields of study, be it technology, healthcare, business have benefitted from the placement cell, not only in the form of being offered the relevant opportunities through regular recruitment and career fairs, but also by being introduced to the employers directly. Canadian Institute of Management and Technology is a recognized Private Career College and offers occupation based training in the field of technology, healthcare, business studies, accounts and administration.
