We are pleased to offer a robust Healthcare Faculty with plenty of exciting courses, workshops, and programs, at our five lovely campuses in Ontario and British Columbia.
Our Personal Support Worker instructor, Ina, was nominated by the National Association of Career Colleges, NACC, to be the best instructor in Canada, and after meeting her, you'll know why! All of our PSW instructors give personalized attention, with plenty of hands-on training, in small class sizes, which is why we are a preferred destination. PSW Bridging is also offered at our campuses, for students who already have foreign nursing training or experience, to help reduce tuition and duration.
For those who prefer an administrative role, we also offer Medical Office Administration in a short diploma program, or Health Unit Coordinating with MOA, which provides a specialty to work in a hospital environment. Students learn medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, as well as software for medical offices and/or hospitals, in order to prepare them for their exciting new career.
Dental Office Administration is the shortest diploma program we offer, so it's ideal for students who want to quickly gain healthcare employment. It's a specialized version of MOA, specific to Dental.
CIMT College also has a variety of short courses which are appealing for those who are already in healthcare, or who wish to explore it. Consider taking a workshop in Phlebotomy, or ECG, or update your skills in First Aid and CPR. We also offer training in Wound Care, Administering Medication, and in Basic Health Assessment. Our newest offering is a certificate course in Intramuscular (IM) Injection. With lots of hands-on training in this workshops, students develop the skills they need to apply on the job or to care for an elderly family member.
Finally, for students who want to become medical doctors, we offer Pre-Med training in our diploma called Pre-health Sciences. With guaranteed acceptance to a list of medical schools, students because their journey to earn an MD at CIMT College.
