February 28, 2015 - PSW Diploma holders of CIMT College are being offered excellent job opportunities. Recently, two PSW Graduates were hired in the GTA for serving the people of Toronto. Sukhjeet Shoker who graduated from CIMT College in mid- January this year has been hired by Revera West side Long term Care as a Personal Support Worker. While, Daljeet Kaur of Mississauga has been hired by Erin Mills Lodge and starting working there in February.
Sukhjeet expressed her happiness on gaining this position within a very short span of completing her program. In an interview, she mentioned that success in PSW field is based on two things -- patience and empathy. She also attributes her success in getting placed in Revera West Side to the exposure that she got during her practicum which was at the same facility. The knowledge gained through the theory and practical combination of the Diploma in Personal Support Worker goes a long way in building the confidence of these graduates.
