The Early Childhood Assistant diploma program is designed to provide students with valuable knowledge, skills and experience for employment in daycares, kindergarten, childcare or early learning centers, Start your career today to become and Early Childhood Assistant!
Our students spend time learning the theoretical aspects of the Early Childhood Assistant field, including Foundations of ECE, Infant and Child Development, Communication, Health, Safety and Nutrition, Child, Family and Community, Play based Early learning strategies, Language and Literacy, Guiding Children's Behavior, Special needs, Intro to Psychology and Creating Inclusive Programs. During this program, students will also have gain 325 hours of hands on experience in the field working with Infants and Toddlers and Preschoolers!
Additionally, graduates from CIMT College can bridge to become an Early Childhood Educator at Canadore College!
This program was developed by the National Association of Career Colleges and partnered with Canadore College to offer a 1+1 ECE opportunity.
