Do you have a passion for Trades? Don’t walk, RUN to our Mississauga Trades Campus and check it out!

You’ll have a chance to meet with an admissions advisor, have a tour of the campus, and check out all the amazing tools and materials we have onsite! And, if you’re lucky, you may even have the chance to see our Renovation and Construction Technician students working hard on one of the coolest hands on projects…the Build a House!

The Build a House gives students the hands-on-learning experience of building the interior structure of a multi-room home. Depending on the number of students in the class, students will build a 2, 3, or 4 room house interior. All of the theoretical training from the first four months of the program is implemented at every stage as students build a house using input from their own blueprint design, from conception to costing, to material purchasing, to layout, to construction, to flooring and ceiling systems, to trim, painting and finishing. Students also learn about demolition and how to salvage old materials to reduce costs on projects!

Not only do students receive incredible hands on training at the campus, students will also learn all about the Renovation and Construction industry! Students will dive into courses like, Foundations, Blueprints and Building Codes, AutoCAD Level 1, Tools and Shop Equipment, Project Management for Construction, Framing and Rough Carpentry, Finished Carpentry, Drywall and Painting, Ceiling Systems, Flooring, Introduction to Electrical, Introduction to Plumbing, Introduction to HVAC! Come join us for a FREE campus tour at any of our 7 CIMT College locations! Our doors are always open to guests; however, every Wednesday we welcome everyone to stop in for a tour of our campus and a chance to meet with an Admission Advisor to answer all of your questions!
