CIMT College, Canadian Institute of Management and Technology organized its Convocation Ceremony on July 26, 2012 at Pearson Convention Centre. The ceremony marked the achievements of around 135 students who had successfully completed their Diplomas in the field of Health, Management and Technology. The event was graced by Bonnie Crombie, Councillor, Ward 5, Mississauga as Chief Guest along with Dr. Bikram Lamba, Political and Business Strategist, Mr Garry Uppal, Sr. Manager, RBC and other dignitaries from various walks of life. The convocation ceremony was attended by around 300 people who came to celebrate the success of the graduates.
While the National Anthem marked the beginning of the ceremony, the President of CIMT College, Mr. Kamaljit Bal presented the College report which highlighted the achievements of the institute, since its inception in 1998. He also addressed the graduating students and asked them to go out into the world of work and prove their ability. He urged the graduates to stay connected with their alma mater and to always move ahead with the confidence that we are behind them at every step in their life.
Addressing the students, Ms. Bonnie Crombie, Councillor shared her achievements with the graduates, motivating them with her own examples. She suggested that they should not fear taking risks as from there originate the greatest opportunities of life. She also presented the Diplomas to the graduating students of Diploma in Telecommunications, Network Administration, Office Administration, Accounts Administration, Medical Office Administration and Personal Support Worker, along with Mr. Kamaljit Bal and Dr. Devendra S. Kunwar.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bikram Lamba, urged the students to be ready in life for different things and to take each new challenge as a learning experience. He also motivated the students to embark upon the journey of life, empowered with their education and wished them success in life.
A token of remembrance was presented by Mr Kamaljit Bal, President, CIMT College to Ms. Bonnie Crombie for gracing the occasion. The event also saw the fresh graduates sharing their experiences of CIMT College and the opportunities that they had received after completing their education with CIMT College. At the end, Dr. Devendra S. Kunwar, Director Academics, CIMT College, presented the vote of thanks to the audience, which was followed by refreshments and photo sessions to capture the memories of this special event.
