income tax workshop at cimt college, mississaugaCIMT College organized a workshop on Personal Income Tax on November 24, 2012 at its Malton-Mississauga Campus. The workshop which was conducted by Mr. Rudy Ramdyal, CGA was attended by over 20 candidates. Rudy gave a brief overview of the Taxation system while discussing the various issues related to it. The interactive session also saw a lot of questioning from the audience, who came up with their individual doubts to be clarified. The speaker addressed the various issues with ease and also asked certain questions to build the interest of the listeners.

The session was highly informative as it discussed the various forms of income which needs to be reported while filing your return, the expenditures that can be claimed, the means of calculating net taxable income and also how refunds are calculated. Rudy also discussed issues like what income should be reported and what to do if you forgot to report something. While addressing the queries of the audience he urged them to be aware and also to have their CRA accounts, which gives them the accurate and updated information about their records with CRA. He also gave informative material to the audience which can assist them in quick review of their returns, important contact numbers for filing returns etc. The session concluded with a question-answer round where the audience clarified their individual doubts with issues ranging from resident status for filing returns to reporting international income.
