Graduates and students of Diploma in Personal Support Worker attended the Career Fair organized by the placement cell of Canadian Institute of Management and Technology on Friday Oct 25. Over 20 students were screened and assessed for their skills, knowledge and attitude towards work. Erin Baumruk of Home Instead Senior Care interviewed students for Etobicoke, Mississauga and Brampton locations. The fair started with the brief presentation on the company profile and expectations of the role. This was followed by one-on-one interview where the students had an opportunity to showcase and present their work and knowledge.
Placement Cell undertakes these initiatives to ensure placements for all graduates of the college, be it in the discipline of technology, healthcare or business. Such events allow appropriate exposure to all students which not only gives each one of them an opportunity to be employed but it also gives them the firsthand experience of the real world and the understanding of employment prospect in their field study. Forthcoming events include 1) Recruitment Fair for Network Administrators and Telecommunication Technology professionals and 2) Workshop - Introduction to CISCO Networking. To register for free workshops visit the college website or call CIMT College at 905-671-9999.
