Medical Office Graduate Hired by the Urgent Care Centre!

Amardeep Pannu, a graduate with diploma in Medical Office Administration was offered a position as a medical office assistant by a medical office in Brampton region. Amardeep had taken a voluntary- co-op placement at a clinic pursuant to which she was offered a job at the clinic. Every student of the program attends a voluntary co-op placement on completion of the course where in they take on-job training at the medical office, walk-in clinic or urgent care centre. Besides helping with the co-op opportunities, the placement cell of the college has been helping students with their essential skills through workshops on the likes of resume building skills, understanding Canadian job markets, mastering interviews. Skills learnt in these workshops equip students with the presentation skills and confidence that helps them in getting suitable jobs in the field of their study.
