Cabinet and Furniture Building

Cabinet and Furniture Building provides students with a foothold in the woodworking industry. Students learn theoretical lessons in a classroom setting, which is then partnered with practical training using actual tools in the Woodshop.

In the 3 week Woodshop Furniture Project, students work together to design and build a piece of furniture of their own creation which demonstrates their learned skills in box and case construction, joinery, door/shelf, and frame construction, and staining.

The Woodshop Project provides a practical, hands-on experience using IICRC standards, which brings their training to life.

Woodshop Furniture Project

Cabinet and Furniture Building courses take place in the Woodshop.

After theory training, students spend THREE WEEKS in the Woodshop constructing a new piece of furniture using the skills and knowledge they gained.
