COURSE OUTLINE
Reading
Students are trained to answer a variety of question types, including multiple choice, identifying information, identifying writer's views, matching information, sentence completion, flow-chart completion, diagram label completion, and short answer questions.
Writing
Students write a letter or describe some visual information (graph/table/chart/diagram) in their own words. Candidates are trained to describe their views or arguments or problems using excellent written language.
Listening
Students are trained to answer a variety of questions, multiple choice, matching, plan/map/diagram labeling, form/note/table/flow-chart/summary completion, sentence completion.
Speaking
Students talk with normal levels of continuity, rate and effort and link ideas and language together to form coherent, connected speech. The key indicators of coherence are logical sequencing of sentences, clear marking of stages in a discussion, narration or argument, and the use of cohesive devices within sentences.
COURSE HIGHLIGHTS
- This integrated four-skill program provides learners with abundant opportunities for communication and meaningful IELTS test preparation.
- Students take two Practice Tests which are conducted first as a baseline to determine areas of growth and improvement, and second at the end of the course, to determine progress.
- Students have an IELTS test review to learn how to calculate their own bands.
- This course has audio files for improving listening skills, official writing samples and examiner's comments for writing improvement, as well as activities like conducting an interview to enhance speaking skills.
