Restoration provides students with a foothold in the woodworking industry. Students learn theoretical lessons in a classroom setting, which is then partnered with practical training using actual tools in the Woodshop.
In the 3 week Woodshop Restoration Project, students work together to refurbish an older and damaged piece of furniture to create a completely restored piece, which will demonstrate their learned skills in joinery, colour and stain matching, and restoration.
The Woodshop Project provides a practical, hands-on experience using IICRC standards, which brings their training to life.
Restoration courses take place in the Woodshop.
After theory training, students spend THREE WEEKS in the Woodshop restoring an old piece of furniture using the skills and knowledge they gained.
