Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Funding

WSIB Funding for Career Training in Ontario

If you have experienced a workplace injury or illness and are receiving insurance benefits through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), you may be eligible to receive funding for retraining and skills development through an approved return-to-work plan.

WSIB may provide financial assistance for education and training when an injured worker is unable to return to their previous occupation due to a work-related injury or illness. As part of a Return-to-Work (RTW) plan, eligible individuals may receive support for:

  • Tuition fees
  • Books and learning materials
  • Transportation costs (where applicable)
  • Other approved training-related expenses

Funding approval is determined by WSIB and is based on individual eligibility and return-to-work objectives.
